International Career

Test Career

Gill made his Test debut for India against Australia in December 2020. He was part of the Indian team that won the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia.

He scored his maiden Test century against Bangladesh in 2022. Gill has primarily played as an opening batsman in Test cricket and has contributed with consistent performances in overseas conditions.

ODI Career

Gill made his ODI debut against New Zealand in January 2019. He gained prominence in ODI cricket with consistent performances at the top of the order.

In January 2023, he scored a double century (208 runs) against New Zealand, becoming one of the youngest players to achieve this milestone. He has since been a regular member of India’s ODI squad.

Gill was also part of India’s squad in major ICC tournaments and has contributed significantly in bilateral series.

T20I Career

Gill made his T20 International debut in 2023. He scored his maiden T20I century against New Zealand in the same year.
